Owen Cotton-Barratt

@ Research Fellow, the Future of Humanity Institute

Owen Cotton-Barratt is a Research Fellow with the Future of Humanity Institute, and spends his time thinking about how to prioritise in cases of high uncertainty. He has a DPhil in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and has worked as an academic mathematician as well as the Director of Research for the Centre for Effective Altruism. Cotton-Barratt seeks to make comparisons between different actions, and especially to understand the long-term consequences of actions taken now.
